“ I feel bad that it has taken me so long to write a review, but this has become my go to pizza in the area so the time has come. I am so happy to have NY style pizza on this side of town now. No shade at any of the local Italian pizzerias, as they certainly have their place. But when you are craving that NY slice, Italian style just won’t cut it. My wife and I have tried many different items on the menu, and have never been disappointed. Of course the pizza is amazing, but DONT sleep on the pasta. The Gorgonzola pasta special was some of the best I’ve had. The garlic knots? Out of this world! Seriously, you haven’t had a better garlic knot and I can say that with confidence. Do yourself a favor and get there now! Keep doing your thing Hawthorne! The 115 is happy to have you! ”
“ GARLIC KNOTS ARE A MUST HAVE! The deep dish crust is my personal favorite. I do like to have the garlic butter on the crust edge. Service is always friendly and reasonably fast considering everything is made to order! We will definitely come again! ”

“ This is the best pizza I've had in the Carolinas! Friendly service, lots of seating inside with a little outdoor area that is dog friendly with plenty of shade. Full bar with craft beers, spirits, and wine options. And the pizza...MAGNIFICO!! Great crust, overflowing with toppings, and they even let us split our pie so that my wife and I could both get the pizza we wanted on 1 pie. We also got an order of wings and those were good, too. All in all, this was a great experience and the pizza was out of this world! ”
“ This was my 2nd visit to Hawthorne's and I continue to be pleased with the food, service, and the atmosphere. Their food is really great (many of my New York friends all have said that Hawthorne's is one of their favorites). The service is excellent. Today they mistakenly made up my pizza incorrectly with pepperoni instead of mushrooms. They immediately realized the problem, asked if we would like it and left it with us to start on while doing another pizza with the correct toppings at no charge. The server was great about the issue and so quickly addressed it, which exceeded our expectations. I like the neighborhood feel of the place and the indoor and outdoor dining options. The pricing is reasonable and the selection from their menu offers a good variety. ”
“ Regular customer on Sunday after church. Always good food, decent prices, wonderfull atmosphere. We came in with a party of 6, which swelled to 11, as freinds just kept showing up. The staff was very accommodating, made sure we all were seated together. We told our server 'Steven' that we needed separate checks (5). He was able to keep us under control (very boisterous) and assist with our orders. There were a few minor 'hiccups', but everything worked out fine. All of us will be back, and bring more freinds. I did read a review from someone that stated it was too loud, well we enjoy it, the laughter, the good times, the joy. There is an outside patio area, we have sat there also. All-around good place to be. ”
“ Hawthorne’s in Moorseville is excellent! We love this place. Highly recommend! Atmosphere is so welcoming- - inside and outside. Pet friendly on the patio (bonus)! Food is fresh and delicious. Must have is the Garlic Knots, homemade Ranch dressing & salads and any pizza on the menu. So delicious! Shoutout to our server Jaimee! She was so friendly and outgoing! We loved her! She made our dining experience so memorable. She is fun and outgoing- a joy to talk too! ”
“ I came for the pizza, and will return for the exceptional service. The pizza was delicious, but I came here to talk about the service. Our server was very nice, but it is how the staff went above and beyond for my son that made me a returning customer. My 4 year old tried many times before and after dinner to win a prize from the claw machine. When he was heartbroken and crying in my lap, my friends realized that behind me two employees (one I believe was the manager?) were both each on a machine trying their hearts out to win him a prize, and they succeeded. My son is currently curled up in bed with this little stuffed turtle right now. ”
